Breaking Free – Beth Moore
Facilitator: Trish
Sonnenberg
In Breaking Free, Beth Moore looks at the Book of
Isaiah through the lives of the kings who ruled during the prophet's ministry.
These kings exemplify many of the obstacles to freedom with which we must deal.
Using Scripture to help identify spiritual strongholds in your life, no matter
how big or small, Beth explains that anything that hinders us from the benefits
of knowing God is bondage.
Join Beth Moore on a Bible journey unlike any
other. God intends for you to know and believe Him, glorify Him, experience His
peace, and enjoy His presence. Breaking Free is Beth's life message that she
wants to share with you. Taped live at Franklin Avenue Baptist Church in New
Orleans, this study includes testimonies of how women like you have found
freedom and have been delivered from personal captivity.

Come join the fight!! This class is an
action group whose desire is to make an impact in both the recovery and
cause of the human sex trafficking issue.
The recovery aspect will be organizing a
fundraiser for a charity called Ratanak, which rehabilitates young girls they
rescue from brothels. Two years ago we, as a class, held a fundraiser
through Women of Heart and raised $ 20,000.
The cause aspect of this class will be
to put together a presentation for parents, educating them on media and the
internet. As technology advances, children are increasingly bombarded
with unhealthy messages about sexuality and self-worth. Our goal is to empower parents
to raise a generation of children who value innocence, recognize inner beauty,
and respect themselves, others, and their world.
Living
With Your Heart At Rest – Cindy Martin
Facilitator:
Cindy Martin
While most Christians would say that they absolutely
believe that God is worth trusting, there is often little evidence in the way
we live our lives that would differentiate those who profess to be followers of
Christ from those who don’t. Furthermore, how do we reconcile the disconnect
that often appears when our faith collides with the harsh realities of life? If
we truly believe that God is not surprised by the happenings of our lives, why
do we act and react like He is?
This book takes a practical, frank and
sometimes humorous look at the journey to living with our hearts at rest…before
we’re laid to rest. It does not provide three step solutions or pat answers but
rather takes a compelling look at the difference Jesus desires to make in our
everyday lives. Saturated with scripture, it is a hope inspiring combination of
theory and practice designed to help the reader understand the immense value of
their heart and what it means to “guard your heart” (Proverbs 4:23).
The premise of this course is the degree to
which we trust God in all the areas of our life, will be the degree to which we
experience our hearts at rest. Topics to be discussed include:
marriage, children, finances, health, hardships, pace of life, expectations of
life and "putting skin on it" all. Throughout the course, there
will be a focus on how much our hearts matter to God and His relentless pursuit
of our hearts in the midst of the stuff of our lives.
Moving
From Fear to Freedom – Grace Fox
Facilitators:
Karen Tarras & Christy Fowler
Fear has two sides – an upside and
a downside. The downside is that it can hold women hostage, robbing us of joy
and preventing us from experiencing life as God intended. But the
upside….that’s a different story. The very fears we face can become catalysts
for personal growth and opportunities to know the Lord in a more intimate way.
Filled with real-life stories and loaded with Scripture, this book promises to
lead its readers from fear to freedom. With wit, warmth, and wisdom, Grace
helps you to:
• Overcome the fear for your kids’ well-being to embrace God’s
purpose for their lives.
• Overcome the fear of inadequacy to accept new opportunities at
work or church.
• Overcome the fear of rejection to pursue new friendships or
mentor younger women.
• Overcome the fear of change and challenges and learn to embrace
them as opportunities for personal growth.

True
Woman 101: Divine Design – Mary Kassian & Nancy Leigh Demoss
Facilitator:
Chelsea Manuel
The current cultural ideal of womanhood
encourages women to be strident, sexual, self‐centered,
independent and – above all – powerful and in control. But sadly, this model of
womanhood hasn’t delivered the happiness and fulfillment it promised inside of
marriages or in singleness! Together, in this class, we will go on a journey to
explore what God says in the Bible beginning in Genesis, about why He created
male and female. His design isn’t by accident, unimportant or expendable. His
design is so much more valuable than the world’s cheap imitations and knockoffs
– it uncovers that women are molded and shaped – tethered to and enabled by
Christ and His gospel. God’s women reject the world’s pattern for womanhood and
gladly wear God’s Designer label instead!
