5.  Why Believe
Facilitator: Christina Trummer

Description:
The Why Believe DVD sessions are messages by Dr. Henry Schorr that provide the opportunity to hear solid reasons for believing in God. The messages have been divided up into 3 or 4 short segments with discussion questions to follow in each session.  Pastor Henry draws on a host of scholars, authors and pastors for their wisdom and insights, including, Lee Strobel, John Yates, Josh McDowell, Bill Hybels, Norman Geisler and James Kennedy. This is the place to bring your doubts and questions, as we probe and explore topics together, such as: Is it arrogant to claim "one way to God"?  Is faith compatible with science and reason? How can a loving God allow suffering, evil and death?  Did Jesus really rise from the dead?  Is the Bible a reliable source for our most important questions?

6.  Bible Study: The Bible Meets You Where You Are
Facilitator: Pat van Boeschoten
Assistant: Rhonda Rempel

Description:
Assistant: Rhonda Rempel Does reading the Bible sometimes feel like homework you hae to do rather than something you look forward to? You can read it, but how REAL is it to you? Are they words on a page or words that jump off the page? You can get a lot out of reading your Bible, even if there aren’t full colored pictures on every page. GOD REALLY LOVES YOU and wants to meet with you in a more personal way. We would love to join with you, no matter where you’re at on your spiritual journey. Everyone starts somewhere and the Bible meets you where you are. Beginning with the Gospel of Mark, we pray it will be a significant point in your life and we look forward to getting to know you better.
Jeremiah 29 11-14
"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,” ...

7.  True Woman 101: Divine Design by Mary Kassian and Nancy Leigh DeMoss
Facilitator: Deborah Carnduff
Assistant: Nicole Kirkham

Description:
http://vimeo.com/31433669
The current cultural ideal of womanhood encourages women to be strident, sexual, self-centered, independent and – above all – powerful and in control But sadly, this model of womanhood hasn’t delivered the happiness and fulfillment it promised inside of marriages or in singleness! Together, in this class, we will go on a journey to explore what God says in the Bible beginning in Genesis, about why He created male and female. His design isn’t by accident, unimportant or expendable. His design is so much more valuable than the world’s cheap imitations and knockoffs – it uncovers that women are molded and shaped – tethered to and enabled by Christ and His gospel. God’s women reject the world’s pattern for womanhood and gladly wear God’s Designer label instead!

9. One in a Million by: Priscilla Evans Shirer
Facilitator: Jillian Melle

The Egyptians in Exodus 1 were intent on enslaving the Israelites, wearing them down so that God’s chosen people would become disillusioned and not live up to their destiny. Of the original two million Israelites who received God’s invitation to enter the Promised Land, only two actually entered it! Similarly, modern day Christians often hear and understand the promises of God each Sunday morning at church but then rarely choose to experience them in everyday life. In One in
a Million, Bible teacher Priscilla Shirer invites us to change that pattern for good, living beyond our circumstances and expecting to see God move in miraculous ways day after day. Without a doubt, we can find and follow God’s purpose for our journey. We can make it to the Promised Land!
