I am a Christian Woman called
to love God and others with a life of integrity and a willing spirit to fulfill
the purposes God has ordained for me. The others in my life are my husband and
family along with the community we try to diligently serve with Christ's love.
I love my role as a wife and parent they are primary in my filling of God's
purpose. Paul is clear in his instructions to Timothy that a overseer need to
manage their own family well. This takes time and intention, my family is not
perfect but they are a high value in my day.
My ministry is the adult small
group community as well as the women's ministry. I feel privileged to lead to
lead in both divisions.
I came to Christ at the age of
27 and was a teacher by trade so felt teaching small children in Sunday School
(6yrs) would help me develop context for being a Christian.
When Don and I started
attending CSC 1994 Don felt we would serve together in leading a Small group.
We were trained and then started training others in leadership. Groups began to
multiply and we were asked to become coaches. I then felt called to apply for
the lead of the Women's Ministry Team in June of 2007. People affirmed this
call and God opened doors and allowed a completely overwhelming series of
events to occur that led me into full time pastoral care here at CSC.
Not my game plan at all!
Although now I am sooo grateful.
We began tithing shortly after
becoming Christians in 1987
Giving 10% each month before
tax all other giving to missionaries or other nonprofits is above this tithe to
the church body.
So many stories hard to pick
one, I have seen many women come to faith in Christ which truly keeps me here
and serving.
Pat a lady that was addicted
to alcohol was identified to me as a lost sheep. I met with her eventually
encouraged her to take the Freedom session and was her sponsor. By God's grace
she was freed from addiction and serves today in CSC.
Hope this helps
