Steal Away - Time With The Father
Facilitator TBA
So I wonder??? Do you want a
sweeter, more intimate connection with God?
Do you want a faith in Jesus that is ready to stand strong and resilient
no matter what crisis comes your way? Here
is one thing I know through experience---it is NOT THE CRISIS that builds
spiritual muscle to overcome and thrive…the crisis just reveals what I am
already made of. I need to be spiritually
fit…ready BEFORE the faith check or battle comes.
So how do I do that? I have to carve time out to be in communion
with God. Simple and sure. Our class provides a concrete time alone with
our loving Father every week. In the
first half hour of our time together…We will be guided towards a portion of
God’s Word to explore, examine and meditate on together. We then will use this passage as
connecting/communion point with God – to come before Him to pray – study –
worship – meditate – listen – or just rest in His presence. Each morning we will also connect with each
other and pray.
Pour out your heart
like water in the presence of the Lord. - Lamentations 2:19
Women of the Word by Jen Wilkin
Facilitator Deborah
Carnduff
We all
know that it's important to study God's word. But sometimes it's hard to know
where to start. What's more, a lack of time, emotionally-driven approaches, and
past frustrations can erode our resolve to keep growing in our knowledge of
Scripture and of God. How can we, as Christian women, keep our focus and
sustain our passion when reading God's Word?
This study
offers a clear and concise plan to help you go deeper in your study of
Scripture, it will equip you to read God's word in a way that trains your mind
and transforms your heart.
As we
learn this new and simple model of how to study the bible from Jen Wilkin's
book, we will be walking through the Gospel of Mark.

Breaking Free by Beth Moore
Facilitator Sue
Mitchell
In
Breaking Free, Beth Moore looks at the Book of Isaiah through the lives of the
kings who ruled during this prophet's ministry. These kings exemplify many of
the obstacles to freedom with which we must deal. Using Scripture to help
identify spiritual strongholds in your life, no matter how big or small, Beth
explains that anything that hinders us from the benefits of knowing God is
bondage. God intends for you to know and believe Him, glorify Him, experience
His peace, and enjoy His presence.
Cost
of book: $20.75 (Available for purchase at CSC Resource Centre)
It is for freedom
that Christ has set us free. Stand firm,
then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. -

Building Missional Community – When
Helping Hurts
Facilitator Pam Wolfe
Helping Without Hurting is a
video-based study from the authors of the bestselling book, “When Helping
Hurts” – a paradigm forming contemporary classic on the subject of poverty
alleviation. This class will explore the principles of “helping without
hurting”. Participants will be challenged to apply these principles within the
intercultural setting of Calgary, in our neighborhoods as well as through the
lens of short term missions. It lays foundational understanding in the
prevention of inadvertent harm when interacting with materially poor
communities. This class is an ideal precursor for any who desire to participate
as a member of the Women’s Ministry Urban Calgary MTO, July 2016. Winter &
Spring 2016 sessions will be used for team building and
preparation for this MTO with more info on Nov 26.
Now after John had

Are you looking for an opportunity to serve while having a lot of fun?
Do you love babies, toddlers, preschoolers, big kids? Would you
like to be part of a Christ-centered team? We love to do life together
and one way we can do that is through serving the Lord as well as mom's &
children in our very own WoH community. With a homeschool group starting
up this term we are especially excited to have ladies join us in this brand new
ministry.
Our Children's Team has a vision to sear the truth of God's Word onto
the tablet of each child's heart who attends our Thursday morning
program. We are committed to being a place of kindness, where children
and their mom's feel loved as we seek to instil Christ's truth as we teach and
serve the children entrusted to our care. We'd love to have you join us!
Do not let kindness and truth leave you; Bind them around your neck,
Write them on the tablet of your heart. - Proverbs 3:3
