1) Action Group: Justice Cafe - Facilitator: Carmen Wittmeir, Assistant: Jenn Massig

Is it possible to change the world in only two hours? Find out at the “Justice CafĂ©,” a casual setting where women share ideas and take direct action to rescue the smallest victims of trafficking and sexual exploitation. The funds we raise for Ratanak International, an organization dedicated to the helping the people of Cambodia, will enable children rescued from Cambodian brothels to discover family and grow into fulfilling, independent lives. Our goal is to provide at least five girls, aged 4-14, with the security of a year in foster care. Join us as we use a couple of hours each week to create a lifelong impact.

2) Boundaries: Part Two – Facilitator: Karen Van Reisen (Pre-req: Boundaries: Part One)

Dr. Henry Cloud and Dr. John Townsend address specific issues that confront today's Christians including:
  • Feeling constantly overwhelmed
  • Feeling God wants you to say “yes” to every request
  • Feeling like people are taking advantage of you
  • Not knowing your own boundaries or even what they are
3) Breaking Free: A Beth Moore Study - Facilitator: Sarah Coates (9 spots)

Breaking Free by Beth Moore leads you through a study of the Scriptures to discover the transforming power of freedom in Jesus Christ. Themes for this study come from Isaiah, a book about the captivity of God's children, the faithfulness of God, and the road to freedom.

This in-depth women's Bible study draws parallels between the captive Israelites of the Old Testament and New Testament believers in Jesus as the Promised Messiah. Beth looks at the Book of Isaiah through the lives of the kings who ruled during the prophet's ministry. These kings exemplify many of the obstacles to freedom with which we must deal. Using Scripture to help identify spiritual strongholds in your life, no matter how big or small, Beth explains that anything that hinders us from the benefits of knowing God is bondage.

We will spend our class time watching a video lecture each week with time for prayer and discussion. The workbook will have ten chapters with 5 daily studies to do each week for homework. Know that if you don’t do the homework you will still learn from the lectures as Beth is an excellent engaging speaker. However, you will be richly blessed if you complete the homework.
