Touch With Kindness - valentine challenge - the legends of Valentine's Day origins have nothing to do with romantic love. Make this day special by finding an opportunity to Touch With Kindness that expresses the Unconditional Love of God! We can ALL participate!

Winter Term 2012 - General Info...

1. The Children’s Ministry Team benefits each week from Terra McKinnon’s capable guidance. We appreciate a growing group of consistent servers and need 6 additional volunteers each week. It is our desire to receive every child who comes; to love them as Jesus does and care for them while they have a break from their routine.

2. Mom’s with preschoolers, please remember to enjoy an adult chat time between when your class ends at 10:45 and when you pick up your children at 11 a.m. We love seeing those of you who meander and visit as you move from class to chapel each week.

3. Teacher’s Convention and Spring Break – Please bring your school age children with you on these weeks. They may enjoy the time playing with our little ones or join in your class to share a little of “mom’s world”.

4. Your suggestions are highly valued. Please watch for your opportunity to express yourself in March through a survey. We consistently strive to improve and many of our small group topics have been suggested by participants.

5. Rides ‘n Drive Network – If you have space to give someone a ride regularly or occasionally, please sign up. Email womenofheart@gmail.com.

6. Beth Moore Conference - If you have already registered, please let us know so you can receive group emails and a valuable coupon. If you haven't registered yet, a group booking is being created. You will receive more info Feb. 23. Email womenofheart@gmail.com.

Celebrating Our Diversity through Costume and Cuisine - February 23, 2012 … 9:15-
11:15 a.m.

Were you born in a country other than Canada? Have you done some kind of mission trip? Was English your first language or second or third? Do you have a national costume? What did you find strange coming to Canada or going to your mission destination? In a setting similar to “Speed Dating”, we will All get to share our story with others in an atmosphere of acceptance and
kindness.

1. The Ultimate Continental Breakfast Potluck – You’re invited to bring a tasty treat from another culture. Please bring small servings so we can enjoy many samplings. There will be a table for each continent so our taste buds will travel around the world then back to our centerpiece of Canadian Diversity.

2. The Ultimate Costume Party – You’re invited to dress up! Wear something that expresses some facet of your uniqueness. It’s your choice. (If you were born in Hawaii – a grass skirt; if you traveled to Pakistan on a mission trip, shalwar kameez; if you were a Calgary Stampede Princess, a beaded riding suit…)

3. The Ultimate Connection – 100 chairs will be set in small pods facing each other to give you and your friends a comfortable experience of chatting with or without conversation prompts. Be prepared to enjoy interesting new friends.

FreeCycle Boutique – February 23 – Chapel Lobby
