My Sister's favorite hymn has these words... "I serve a risen Savior, He's in the world today... You ask me how I know He lives? He lives within my heart." For those who attended our Apr. 21 Party with a Purpose, you heard me express my desire that Joyce would live so that I could share with her about my trip to Europe. I am so grateful that God granted my desire and that we had  an additional four weeks to share precious family moments.

Joyce walked the ultimate faith journey believing and at peace that to be absent from the body means to be present with the Lord. She made that transition on June 23, 2011. Her life will be honored at Centre Street Church on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at 1 pm (in the main sanctuary).

In the words of her family:

We will have both of these organizations donation envelopes available at the Celebration.

My hope is to see as many of you as can come to be there. Joyce asked us to keep it short “like 5 minutes” but I’m afraid there is too much to share about My Wife.

I am confident that this event will be an amazing experience of God's love and grace as we remember a lovely woman who served Him with faithfulness and humility.

On the news for Women of Heart - your team of leaders met on June 2 and lay the foundation for our gatherings that begin again in fall. We are excited to announce that we will have both 1.5 hours for small group time and a 15-minute all-group coffee break every week. The details about how we're going to include both of these valuable interactions will be set out in the July E-News.

I love Women of Heart - thank you so much for your prayers and care for me personally. I value you!
