My Grandmother didn't...

My grandmother was an amazing woman who lived more than 90 years. Sometimes when I think of all the tools I have that she didn't (like a dishwasher), I am filled with wonder at the things she accomplished and enjoyed in her life without the conveniences I have. Life is different now! Just for fun, let's think about the differences.

In the same vein as our six word stories, I invite you to email me, Verna, at woh.blog@gmail.com with things you do that your grandmother didn't.

For example, My grandmother didn't have to check her email...

I'll post them in clusters over the next few weeks.

Serendipity Moments

I had the pleasure of "bumping" into Lindsay Howard last weekend at River's Edge Camp where her husband, Daniel, is program director for the summer. Lindsay was our Freezer Ministry co-ordinator before going to Kenya for a year. (See Faith stories for archives of some of their former emails to us.)

If you're at all able, please attend the Women With a Mission evening on Monday, May 12. Tickets are $5 plus a potluck food item and the evening is for the entire family as Lindsay and Daniel share their experiences and up to date information from Kenya.
